Why is Invisalign typically more expensive than braces?
Invisalign is typically more expensive than braces because of the following factors:
- The lab fees that Invisalign charges to create and personalise your clear aligners;
- The quality of the materials used to create the Invisalign aligners, and
- The technology that goes into creating Invisalign clear aligners.
Other factors that affect the cost of your Invisalign aligners are:
- The experience of your dentist or orthodontist;
- The complexity of your dental condition and the duration that you would require to align your teeth;
- Whether you are visiting a dentist or dental specialist (orthodontist);
- The charges of the clinic offering Invisalign treatment (consultation fees, X-rays and lat-ceph, Clincheck)
- Whether you require additional work done before your Invisalign treatment commences (e.g. scaling and polishing, dental fillings).
However, in recent years, the cost of Invisalign has become more affordable. Some clinics offer offer Invisalign at a comparable cost to braces treatment.
At Elite Dental Group, the cost of our clear aligners cost $3,800 onwards.
Book an appointment with Dr Amanda Koh for an initial consultation at $50 (inclusive of X-rays and images) to get an accurate cost quote on your Invisalign treatment.
